Wee Kiat was referred to the sheltered workshop at SPD, an organisation supported by Community Chest that serves persons with disabilities, to equip him with skills and improve his employability.

PROGRAMME TYPES WE SUPPORT

Community Integration and Rehabilitation

 

Provide essential support and resources for adults with disabilities to enhance their quality of life, and facilitate meaningful participation in the community.


433 persons with disabilities had at least half of their identified needs met (e.g., purchasing of assistive technology, receiving psycho-emotional support through counselling and support groups, etc.).

Job Placement and Job Support Programmes (JPJS)

 

Provides assistance, resources and access to support networks to persons with disabilities in their everyday lives.


208 clients that were placed into employment by the JPJS programme remained in their jobs for at least 6 months.
